Wreck of the John D. Gill
A 528ft [161m] long tanker sank on May 14, 1942 after being torpedoed by U-158, 29 hours prior. Her bow split lies upright, partially collapsed, in about 95ft [29m] of water 26 miles from Masonboro Inlet.
