Cornelia B. Windiate
LOCATION: Lake Huron. ~6 mi [10 km] off Presque Isle Harbor, MI, USA

DIVE CHARTER: Great Lakes Dive Charters.

LIES: Upright on hard bottom.
Three Masted Schooner

CONDITION: Pristine as they come.

CARGO: Wheat

DIMENSIONS: 139' [42m] x 26' [8m] x 12' [4m]

NOTES:  I firmly believe the finest shipwreck diving on the planet is contained within the frigid freshwater of the Great Lakes, and the Windiate is perhaps the most intact schooner on the bottom. All hatch covers in place. A yard still hangs from the forward of the three standingPort Stern. Photo by Jack Papes masts. Her hoops skirts and rigging merely require some canvas to make her complete. Yawl sits upright on the bottom off of the starboard, stern. * A tribute to the integrity of the divers whom have explored her, over 130 years after her sinking, twenty years since her discovery, she remains a breath taking sight to behold. If you are so trained, equipped, and seasoned to experience the pleasure of seeing her first hand, adjust your gas plan accordingly.
