Gilboa Quarry

Gilboa, Ohio, USA

January 15, 2006

Glen Fisher, who spent 6 months last Spring/Summer attending school in San Diego, anticipating an "Endless Summer" of underwater bliss, drove out there with his car stuffed to the headliner with all of his dive gear, including two full tanks. Soon after arriving, as fate would have it, our hero fell under the spell of a non-diving maiden and came home this past November with his two tanks still full. Not having made even a single dive, despite his apartment being minutes from the beach...,

after subjecting himself to merciless ridicule from his peers these past few months, Glen finally returned to the water this frigid, yet mild January 35° F [2° C] morning. Choosing to dive wet in 40° F [4° C] water, I can not say for sure out of penance or poverty, but boy did Ed & I get a few laughs!

The images that follow serve as ample documentation of the excursion...
